La Embajada de la República de Colombia en la República de Trinidad y Tobago invitó al Comité Directivo de la Diáspora del Pueblo Indígena para una serie de reuniones entre el 13 y el 17 de enero de 2025. Entre el Comité, se encuentran varias organizaciones, por ejemplo, la Diáspora Raizal, la Autoridad Raizal, AMEN- SD, la Fundación para las Islas de Old Providence y Santa Catalina - FIOPSC, la Asociación de Pescadores y Agricultores Artesanales de San Andrés y Providencia - ASOPACFA, La Federación de Pescadores Providencia y Santa Catalina y el Movimiento de Veeduría Cívica Permanente de Old Providence.

Los miembros de la delegación se reunieron con diversos expertos y organizaciones caribeñas como el Comité de Apoyo a la Emancipación, la organización Pescadores y Amigos del Mar, un experto en cambio climático, la Fundación Cropper, la Gestión Medioambiental Flying Tree, el Instituto de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrícola del Caribe (CARDI), the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (UWI), y otros grupos y comités de Trinidad y Tobago. El objetivo de estas reuniones era promover la colaboración y reforzar los lazos entre el Caribe y el pueblo indígena raizal y para debatir, entre otros temas, el cambio climático, la sostenibilidad, y la gestión medioambiental.

The Embassy of the Republic of Colombia in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago invited the Steering Committee of the Indigenous Raizal Diaspora to attend a series of meetings between the 13th and 17th of January 2025. The Committee consists of various organizations, notably, the Raizal Diaspora, the Indigenous National Raizal Authority, The Archipelago Movement for Ethnic Native Self-Determination, AMEN-SD, the Foundation for the Islands of Old Providence and Santa Catalina - FIOPSC, the Association of Artisanal Fishermen and Agriculturists of San Andres and Old Providence - ASOPACFA, the Fishermen's Federation of Old Providence and Santa Catalina, and the Old Providence Permanent Civic Oversight Movement, better known as Veeduria Civica de Old Providence.

The members of the delegation met with various Caribbean experts and organizations such as the Emancipation Support Committee, Fishermen and Friends of the Sea, a climate change expert, the Cropper Foundation, Flying Tree Environmental Management, the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine (UWI), and other groups and committees in Trinidad and Tobago. The objective of these meetings was to promote collaboration and strengthen ties between the Caribbean and the indigenous Raizal people and to discuss, among other issues, climate change, sustainability, and environmental management.
