El Embajador de Colombia en Trinidad y Tobago, William Bush Howard, en colaboración con la Asociación de Estados del Caribe (AEC), organizó la clausura del taller de alto nivel sobre planificación estratégica y de escenarios el 1 de mayo de 2025.

El Evento de Alto Nivel duró cuatro días y se celebró del 28 de abril al 1 de mayo de 2025. El taller acogió a Estados miembros, personal de la AEC e invitados, y su objetivo era elaborar colectivamente la Visión Estratégica 2025-2035 de la AEC, a través de múltiples debates y metodologías inclusivas.

Durante la semana del 28 al 30 de mayo de 2025, se celebrará en la ciudad de Cartagena, Colombia, una serie de cumbres de alto nivel con el objetivo de abordar retos comunes y fortalecer las relaciones en la región. En este sentido, Colombia se ha comprometido a acoger la III Cumbre Ministerial con la Comunidad del Caribe (CARICOM) el 28 de mayo.

Actualmente, Colombia ejerce la Presidencia Pro Tempore de la AEC y, los días 29 y 30 de mayo respectivamente, el país ha invitado a los Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de los Estados Miembros y a sus Ministros de Relaciones Exteriores a asistir a la X Cumbre de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno y a la XXX Reunión Ministerial de la AEC.

His Excellency William Bush Howard, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Trinidad and Tobago, hosted a celebratory cocktail in collaboration with the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) in honour of the closing of the High-Level Strategic and Scenario Planning Workshop on May 1, 2025.

The High-Level Event spanned 4 days and took place from the 28th of April 2025 to the 1st of May 2025. The Workshop hosted member states, ACS staff and invited guests, and aimed to collectively craft the ACS Strategic Vision 2025-2035, through multiple inclusive discussions and methodologies.

During the week of the 28th to the 30th of May 2025, a series of high-level summits will be held in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, to address common challenges and strengthen relations in the region. In this regard, Colombia has committed to host the III Ministerial Summit with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on May 28.

Colombia currently holds the Pro Tempore Chairmanship of the ACS and, on the 29th and 30th of May respectively, the country has invited the Heads of State and Government of the Member States and their Ministers of Foreign Affairs to attend the X Summit of Heads of State and Government and the XXX ACS Ministerial Meeting.
